The G2 Touch, also known as the HTC Hero on T-Mobile UK, will not be getting their Android 2.1 update after all since a handful of users have reported some problems associated with their respective smartphones after attempting to install it, with some running into problems getting the preperatory update to function, resulting in a flashing warning triangle stating that during the process, something, somewhere had gone terribly wrong. T-Mobile UK has already released a statement concerning the situation, where a proper investigation will be conducted before a fully working Android 2.1 release is rolled out for the HTC Hero in that part of the world.
