Screenshots Of The BlackBerry Shield Service Appear

Screenshots of the upcoming BlackBerry Shield service have surfaced. According to the leaks, this service will function similarly to Apple’s “Find My iPhone” feature for iPhones with MobileMe accounts. BlackBerry Shield will allow users to track their lost handsets via Google Maps, and even allow them to remotely wipe important information from the device using a web browser. Other features include custom lost and found messages, remote password settings, and alarms to help you find the device when it’s nearby. Word is that public testing of the service is just around the corner, and it’ll likely be free to folks who have the BlackBerry Internet Service on their devices.
