Hitachi Introduces Its New LifeStudio Series Of External Hard Drives

Hitachi has come up with a rather interesting line of LifeStudio portable hard drives, which the company boasts will redefine external storage. These drives feature a rather modern glossy design, and the mobile version sports a 2.5-inch notebook hard drive that can be docked into the cradle. More interestingly, the models that have the Plus suffix sport a USB drive, which hosts a 4GB microSD card slot that’s expandable to 32GB. What makes it useful is that the synchronization software which allows users to sync important files and folders, having them ready to go whenever you need to leave the office. Files will be synchronized when you place the USB drive back in its cradle. Other features include a 3D interface wall that makes browsing the multimedia on your drive more fun, backup software, and the inclusion of 3G online storage for free, that can be expanded up to 250GB if you’re willing to fork out $49 per year. Prices range from $79.99 for the 250GB LifeStudio Mobile, and goes all the way up to $219.99 for the 2TB LifeStudio Desk Plus.
