HTC Droid Incredible To Get Android 2.2 Froyo By August [Unconfirmed]

BGR is reporting that the Verizon HTC Droid Incredible is going to receive a software update to Android 2.2 Froyo by the end of July or early August. Originally, there was going to be a minor update that would’ve brought 720p video recording to the Incredible but it looks like that update will be rolled in with the bigger, much more tantalizing Android 2.2 software update.

The Android 2.2 Froyo update to the Droid Incredible is said to bring:

• Froyo
• 802.11 n
• 3G Mobile Hot Spot
• HTC Widget: Email
• HTC Widget: News
• EAS Updates
• 720p Video Recording
• Amazon MP3
• Skype
• My Verizon

With the update, the Droid Incredible could make a strong play at the title of best Android phone available (if it wasn’t already). However, It does seem sort of soon to have Android 2.2 ported and ready for a HTC Sense device so we’ll have to wait and see if this is really true. [BGR]
