Microsoft Patent Shows A Dual-Mode Xbox 360 Controller [XBox360]A Microsoft patent shows off a new dual-mode Xbox 360 controller that can be used both wired and wirelessly. Unlike the current play and charge kit, this controller would give you the accuracy of a true wired mode when plugged in.

Right now when you use the play and charge kit, the controller is still in wireless mode when plugged in. Having a dual-mode controller would put the controller in a true wired mode, thus giving the gamer the benefit that extra millisecond of fastness. Is it worth buying a new controller for?
