Look, this DIY LCD pinball machine is unquestionably impressive. I\’m just wondering what the point is.

I mean, does anyone actually think that video pinball is best than the genuine deal? Is there a cause of video pinball to exist aside from the impractical size requirements of a precise pinball machine? So once you take a tremendous touchscreen and put it in a pinball cabinet, aren\’t you getting the worst of both worlds?

But hey, to each his own. At the least, this build is impressive in its quality and a focus to detail. It\’s too bad it doesn\’t have any real balls. [Crave DIY via Make]
