Hey, Nasa! Need a cheaper space suit for your astronauts? Call the Final Frontier Design guys.

This is what I really like to work out, homebrew space equipment. It\’s a spacesuit that was invented by the two gentlemen at Final Frontier Design, person who made its debut at the Eyebeam Center for Art + Technology in Manhattan last week. (Wonder why we weren\’t invited?) Besides merely looking neat, it provides the entire protection and functionality of a Nasa spacesuit, but only costs about one-fifth of what Nasa usually has to pay. Consider Nasa has approximately $17.50 to its name recently, maybe it wouldn\’t be a nasty idea to position the designers on some form of retainer?

The video explains the nuts and bolts of what\’s taking place, so I won\’t bore you with “words” once you can actually see what\’s taking place together with your own eyes.

Bring the cost down just a little, and I will be able to honestly see Williamsburg hipsters strolling down Grand Avenue wearing this kind of. Not even on Halloween or anything, but to head to the grocery store or the L train.

The 1st one may only amount to a MiFi housed within the dash (although that does come standard), but automaker Proton and Malaysian carrier Yes appear to have some fairly grand designs on 4G-connected cars.
