Though Tron: Legacy is solely six months away, the movie\’s iconic light cycles seem as remotely futuristic today as they did in 1982. But this practice Henderson motorcycle, inbuilt 1936, is largely Art Deco Tron on the earth.
The four-cylinder bike was custom built by O. Ray Courtney in 1936, adapted from a 1930 K.J Henderson, and was recently restored by New Yorker Frank Westfall.
Knucklebuster, who saw the bike in action, says that it definitely does run-Westfall rode it around the Rhinebeck Grand National Meet fairgrounds all last weekend-though it’d not quite be Light Cycle Arena rated. [Knuckle Buster Inc via Make]
