China to Finally Sell Wi-Fi Equipped iPhones [IPhone]

After years of not with the ability to sell Wi-Fi-enabled iPhones in China, Apple will begin placing 8GB models on store shelves from this Monday.

It was only last October that China Unicom Ltd. actually started selling the iPhone in China, but they weren\’t ready to include Wi-Fi support by reason of issues with the Chinese government seeking to introduced a competing product called WAPI. [Associated Press]
