Skype’s $100 Million IPO Filing Gives a Peek Under the Hood [Skype]

Skypes 0 Million IPO Filing Gives a Peek Under the Hood [Skype]Skype wants to lift $100 million in an IPO. That\’s all well and good, but the joys part is what Skype had to show about itself with a purpose to ask for all that cash. Fun Skype facts ahoy!

So, what have we learned from the filing? Well, Skype\’s 560 million registered users have spent 95 billion minutes video and voice chatting. And of that 560 million, below a quarter are active, and only 8.1 million are actual paying users, each of whom spends a standard of $96 per year.

Still, that\’s enough to be profitable to the tune of $115.8 million-not bad for a service only 6% of users pay for. [SEC via All Things D]
