Woo boy. BGR\’s supposedly got hold of Verizon\’s 2010/2011 roadmap, outlining every kind of exciting stuff coming down the VZW pipeline: a 1.3GHz, 4\” Motorola Droid Pro, LTE Mi-Fi units, and a Motorola tablet with Android 3.0.
The roadmap covers the remaining of 2010 through early 2012, with the earlier products presumably being more concrete than a few of the later ones. But it surely\’s all drool-worthy stuff, starting with the Droid Pro, a 4\” , 1.3GHz Android phone with global roaming, pegged for release in November. That\’s only one of many Android phones slated for release over the subsequent year, including global devices from Samsung and HTC.
And then, after all , there are the tablets. The juiciest, in step with BGR, is Motorola\’s:
Samsung is working on a 7″ screen Android tablet with front-facing camera. Motorola may be working on a tablet in addition, except this will sport a 10″ screen, either 1GHz or 1.3GHz CPU, front-facing camera, and Android 3.0. Don\’t expect the Motorola so soon though, as we\’re informed that while the launch was alleged to happen in December, Android 3.0 will probably hold up the release of that device and we must always expect it around February 2011.
The roadmap also suggests that Verizon is on the right track to supply LTE coverage to 75% of the country by April 2012. Data plans will supposedly stay at $59.99 a month for LTE service and a Novatel LTE MiFi shall be reportedly be available in early 2011, supporting up to 10 Wi-Fi users.
So, iPhone or not, it sort of feels like there\’s plenty to seem forward to for the Verizon faithful. [BGR]
