A Czech website by the name of SuperApple has investigated Apple’s rechargeable AA batteries and found that really, hidden underneath that Apple wrapping, they are able to actually be far-cheaper Sanyo Eneloops. It’s no surprise, really.
At least it’s reassuring to understand that Apple at the least chose a reputable company to make its batteries. While it’s not confirmed as yet (with SuperApple merely putting two and two together), it does make the mind wonder if it’d actually be better getting some Eneloops from Amazon, where they’re cheaper.
