The first one is a prototype of a bathroom for female cosmonauts. It was flown for the first time inside the Vostok 6 spacecraft. The second one is a space toilet that went to orbit within the Soyuz 3.

I know. They appear scary, unlike today’s top-of-the-line NASA toilets. But on the other hand, this was the Soviet Union’s space program, where many cosmonauts died for engineering and manufacturing problems-and nobody ever knew about them. [Discovery]
