Now not should IT managers escape with blocking Facebook on company computers, now Delta’s added the flexibility to book a flight right there in that open Facebook tab. Nevermind that your boss probably knows Delta takes bookings elsewhere.
Facebook users must download the Ticket Window app, which displays flight information for browsing and purchasing.
Why would it’s essential purchase a flight on Facebook, rather then on Delta’s own website, or maybe a flight comparison website? Presumably, so the small print of said flight could be shared with Facebook friends.
Why this will’t be done via a status update or maybe direct message, I don’t know, but no matter whether you or i’d use this service, Delta may still be commended for its brave use of social-networking sites. It’s a murky world, I know. [Alvenda via Financial Times]
