Living on a submarine would probably get pretty miserable pretty quickly. But this wacky camera concept brings the ideal section of submarine life-the periscope!-to your entire landlocked photographic adventures.
Well, the periscope look anyway. The Digital Reflex Camera, designed by Yaniv Berg, drew inspiration from old-fashioned reflex cameras, which had the eyepiece on top of the camera and thus were cradled on the brink of the stomach. So in practice I suppose it might be more like an upside-down periscope.
It seems pretty far out, but I wouldn’t mind seeing some mirrorless cameras think outside of the box(y boring camera design) a little. Periscope up! [Yanko]
