Digital Reflex Camera concept puts the viewfinder on top, everything else in a tube

Can’t say we’ve ever seen anything like this before… well, apart from those cameras of old that forced you to go looking down into the viewfinder while cradling the camera against your gut. On the contrary, that’s exactly the experience that Yaniv Berg is making an attempt to recreate here, together with his Digital Reflex Camera concept shaped more like a periscope and no more like a camera. In theory, as a minimum, all the hardware could be encased in a tube, and once you flip the camera, the LCD will become a display, creating an undercover spy device of epic proportions. Naturally, there’s probably no hope that this would ever hit retail, but be at liberty to test back a couple of score from now to determine just how close this was to predicting the long run.
