Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen wanted to work with Apple, he really did. But Apple didn’t like to work with them. These items happen!
Here’s the entire quote, from an interview with the Telegraph:
Apple made some statements in regards to the suitability of our technology for mobile devices. I feel we’ve proven that the technology is not just suitable but it surely actually significantly enhances the price on these mobile devices. They’ve chosen to keep their system closed and we’d rather work with partners who are interested by working with us. We believe in open systems. We believe inside the power of the web and in customers making choices and I feel many of the controversy was about their decision at that point. They’ve made their choice. We’ve made ours and we’ve moved on. It’s a business decision. With the energy and innovation that our company has, we’d rather specialize in folks who desire to deliver the right experience with Flash and of them.
All in all, an inexpensive position. But you know that in his most private of moments, he still has hurt feelings. No person likes getting shunned, in spite of everything. [Telegraph via SlashGear]
