There had been some complaints in regards to the accuracy of the GPS function on some Samsung phones, but the company assures us that they’re resolving the failings and that there’s nothing to fret about in relation to the Epic 4G:
We have tested and validated both Network Assisted (indoor) and Autonomous (outdoor) GPS on the Epic 4G. On the subject of Vibrant and Captivate, we are currently testing software updates in order to optimize GPS performance. We think so that you can make the updates available in September and should communicate additional info and download instructions inside the following few weeks.
I give Samsung credit for acknowledging the failings and seeking to get a solution out as soon as possible. [Engadget]
