To promote game Mafia Wars Las Vegas, game developer Zynga hired Snoop Dogg to blow up a 4-ton armored truck inside the Nevada desert, while it was live-streamed to Ustream. It pulled in more viewers than TV broadcasts attract.
Obviously it varies reckoning on the channel and TV show, but as TechCrunch points out , The Office and 30 Rock pull in around 2 million viewers per episode, placing Snoop’s live-stream last Thursday with over 2 million live-views right next to them on the ladder. Fo’ shizzle.
Snoop’s little explosive act has changed into one of the most-viewed original content for Ustream for 2010-though it’s really not surprising, with the lure of Snoop blowing shit up out within the desert being too strong for even this one woman to ignore. [ TechCrunch ]
