iOS/Android: Previously mentioned time-passing, sometimes productivity-killing StumbleUpon has just released an iPhone and Android app, tailored specifically to a mobile browsing experience.
StumbleUpon is a good solution to discover new and popular pages on the web: with the click of a button, StumbleUpon will load a random page tailored for your interests. It works well on desktop platforms, but the apps have a number of tweaks to assist inside the slightly different experience that come with mobile browsing.
The interface isn’t unlike the desktop version; you’ve an internet browser with an added toolbar from which you could ” stumble” upon random pages, vote them up or down, and share them via social networks. However, because of slower loading times on mobile devices, the app adds thumbnail previews if you click the Stumble button so you could decide whether you’re interested or not before loading the entire page. You may as well prefer to stumble photos, Flickr, News or YouTube from the home page of the app, that is handy. All in all, it stays pretty true to the StumbleUpon experience, so fans of the location should definitely test it out.
StumbleUpon is a free download for iOS and Android 2.1+ devices, available inside the App Store and Market, respectively. Unlike the location, you do need an account with StumbleUpon to exploit it, though in the event you don’t have one, you could check in right from the front page of the app.
