With any luck, the only real vibrations you’ll be feeling in this quake-proof bed is from…no, I won’t go there. Should an earthquake happen, the bed will become a strongbox and stores tinned food and water in case of emergencies.
The bed patent is the work of a Chinese man Wang Wenxi , who designed it to to act as a strongbox in case an earthquake goes off the richter scale and traps you inside, with a board sliding over the head of the bed’s arms to offer protection to precious heads from debris. The cupboards can store water, tools equivalent to a hammer to get out, and even tinned food should someone be trapped there for days.
In the event of that taking place, a minimum of you’d be somewhere soft and comfy. [ Yahoo via Daily Chilli via BornRich ]
