Canon’s 4K Concept Camera: Please Be Real [Canon]

Canons 4K Concept Camera: Please Be Real [Canon] I actually hope Canon makes this idea compact 4k camera , despite the fact that Canon says it’ll never come out the same as this. It’s like the looming future of cameras sculpted in black plastic, a photon blaster-cum-camera.

A mere 5.5 pounds, this working concept model shoots 4K video at 60 frames a second using a single 2/3-inch CMOS sensor. That is about each of the details Canon’s offering since it’s just an idea, though you’ll discover that as is, it’s nothing a pro shooter could use, with its stripped, barren control scheme. Still, a Canon vs. RED war over ultra high definition video? It’d be pretty glorious (though HDSLR filmmaker Philip Bloom explains why this won’t happen anytime soon ). [ Canon Expo ]

Researchers on the University of Manitoba have managed to coach the previous RoboCup … »

It is the end of another era at NASA, although this one was perhaps more inevitable than others. Chief Information Officer Linda Cureton announced in a blog post over the weekend that the agency's last mainframe computer was shut down this month, marking an end to decades of room-filling computers. Needless to say, that last mainframe was considerably newer than that pictured above.… »
