This Whiskey Was Made of Urine [Alcohol]

This Whiskey Was Made of Urine [Alcohol] I’m really into whiskey, but I suspect I’ll pass on tasting Gilpin Family Whisky. Why? Because this single malt whiskey is made out of urine. Specifically, it’s product of the sugar rich urine of elderly diabetics.

Why elderly diabetics? Because ” large amounts of sugar are excreted each day by type-two diabetic patients, especially amongst the upper end of our aging population.” That sugar is removed by purifying the urine and then added to the mash stock to accelerate the fermentation process. So yeah, it’s filtered and fermented and all that good things but dude, it’s still piss.

You can’t actually buy Gilpin Family Whisky because it’s given away as a public health statement. Urine as a display piece, I guess. Gilpin Family Whisky only takes a few weeks to make a batch but Gilpin himself think it’s ” best if that’s left inside the bottle for a short time.” I’m wondering why. More interesting than the score, however, is the connection with a Qualcomm Adreno 225 GPU, which -- assuming it truly is legit -- strongly implies the presence of a powerful Snapdragon S4 sitting inside the Ville's engine compartment. This tallies… »

Word in the street is ViewSonic's on the brink of unveil a fresh, ICS-equipped 7-inch tablet at MWC (together with everyone else). The ViewPad G70, which might be a follow-as much as that budget-friendly E70 we showed you at CES, is rumored to hold a touch heavier $350 price ticket than its sibling. While the slate's best feature might be Google's 4.0 treat , ViewSonic's… »
