At the age of 24, you’d think Dallas man Jermmie Marquis Davis would’ve outgrown prank phone-calling, but as it transpires, he racked up $90,000 in calls to the Illinois National Runaway Switchboard-three-way-calling them with a sex hotline.
When The Dallas Morning News called Davis to get a comment on their story, he first told them he wasn’t going to chat without a lawyer, but that ” I actually don’t care because I even have a girlfriend and he or she doesn’t care about it, OK?” I’m glad that’s cleared that up, then.
Davis is going to be sentenced later this year, where he’s expected to face a couple years’ imprisonment, not to mention being slapped with having to pay carrier Sprint the $88,738 in phone bills owed. [ Dallas Morning News ]
