The ” Misunderstood” Sweetener Formerly Referred to as High-Fructose Corn Syrup [Taste Test' ]

The " Misunderstood" Sweetener Formerly Referred to as High-Fructose Corn Syrup [Taste Test ] Before we begin talking in regards to the evils of high-fructose corn syrup, let’s consider that it can just look like it’s bad for us attributable to its name. So let’s just call it ” corn sugar” instead and all will likely be well.

Sounds good? Yeah, I didn’t think so either, but apparently that’s the theory the Corn Refiners Association is pushing immediately with its campaign to rename and rebrand the sweetener. It appears they’re hoping that by dropping the name which has earned this sort of negative connotation among consumers, they’ll gain the opportunity to provide an explanation for that the substance isn’t really worse than plain ol’ sugar.

I hope that buyers specialize in research rather then silly names, but I’m not entirely sure that this rebranding attempt won’t work for a minimum of a short time. [ Huffington Post ]
