We’d gotten a glimpse at some juicy info about Intel’s next-generation SSDs in August -and were already pretty occupied with it-but now AnandTech’s full spec rundown has us downright giddy.
Expected sometime either late this year or early next, Intel’s third generation, 25nm process SSD should provide twice the capacity of the current model at an analogous price. Similarly, you may expect sequential performance read/write speeds of up to 250MB/s and 170MB/s, respectively, and a total lifespan of up to 60TB. In case you’re still undecided why all this is often exciting for a 2.5-inch SSD, here’s a primer on why it probably have to be. [ AnandTech ]
