Animals Like You’ve Never Seen Them Before, within the British Wildlife Photography Awards [Photography]

Animals Like Youve Never Seen Them Before, within the British Wildlife Photography Awards [Photography] Brits have terrific reputations for wildlife photography, as a result of the likes of David Attenborough snapping where no man snapped before. The BWP Awards are brimming with glorious shots like this frog spawn one, but there will be only 1 winner…

And that winner is Steve Young from the Isles of Scilly, who won the once a year competition along with his photo of a herring gull standing his ground amidst the crashing waves.

My favorite, the frog spawn shot from Steward Ellett, won the highly commended prize inside the ” wildlife in my backyard” category. The total list of winners are over on the British Wildlife Photography Awards website, and will give some serious inspiration for beginner photographers. A zoom lens is a must, as are quick reflexes on the shutter release. [ BWPA via British Journal of Photography ]
