Prague’s 15th Century Clock Gets a 21st Century Light Show [Video]

Pragues 15th Century Clock Gets a 21st Century Light Show [Video] The Astronomical Clock in Prague’s Old Square displays not only time but sunrise, sunset, zodiac, mean revolutions of the moon, and a complete bunch of different crazy stuff. It recently celebrated its 600th birthday with this incredible projected light show.

According to a commenter at BoingBoing , the projection took 4 months to create and used 2 Christie 18K HD projectors-that’s 5000×1200 resolution.

The projection mapping was done by Michal Kotek and Lukáš Duběda at The Macula with sound design by data-live and production by Tomato Production . And while the projection is pretty insane, the clock itself, which has over 20 functions, could be even crazier.

Just what's a "mobile PC" at the present time? Based on market research firm NPD, that category now includes both tablets and laptops -- and by that definition, Apple is unsurprisingly way earlier than its competitors. According to its preliminary numbers, Apple shipped 23.4 million mobile PCs within the fourth quarter of 2011 (nearly 80 percent of which have been iPads), which was enough… »
