PS3 Bluetooth Headset Going Slim [Rumor]

PS3 Bluetooth Headset Going Slim [Rumor] A reader sent us this promo sleeve for the PlayStation 3 Bluetooth headset earlier this week, which now appears to be sporting a slimmer, sleeker design than the original model .

Not only has the ear clasp been made thinner, but the front buttons and indicators were cleaned up too. The cloth also clearly states that it’s an official Sony product, not a third-party offering.

The feature set on the back of the box has no new features compared to the prevailing version, so apparently to be an easy aesthetic upgrade for a device that was looking slightly, well, clunky as we push on towards 2011.

As the box says, it’ll be priced at $50, that’s similar to the present model . No word on a release date, but we’ve asked Sony and may update if we hear back.

Below is a comparison between the most recent headset, on the left, and the old, on the correct.

This tallies… »

Word in the street is ViewSonic's on the brink of unveil a fresh, ICS-equipped 7-inch tablet at MWC (together with everyone else). The ViewPad G70, which might be a follow-as much as that budget-friendly E70 we showed you at CES, is rumored to hold a touch heavier $350 price ticket than its sibling. While the slate's best feature might be Google's 4.0 treat , ViewSonic's… »
