The Twitter iPhone app now comes with a clever little feature: Notifications for @mentions.

This implies that whenever someone you follow mentions you on Twitter, you could possibly receive either an SMS-just as you will with Direct Messages-or a push notification in your iPhone. The frenzy notifications will require the most recent version of the Twitter app which need to be available today. [ Twitter ]
