The iPod Nano Watches to Rule Them All (Trust Me Here) [Video]

The iPod Nano Watches to Rule Them All (Trust Me Here) [Video] OK! I know we’ve seen a few of these already, and maybe you’ve decided that the entire iPod Nano watch dream was a silly one to start with. But please, reserve judgment until you take a look at the TikTok and LunaTik.

Scott Wilson, founder of Chicago-based design studio MINIMAL, wants to do the iPod Nano watch and he wants to do it right. His proposals: the TikTok and LunaTik, two gorgeous bands that provide you with a real deal multitouch wristwatch, not just a goofy solution to strap your new MP3 player on your arm.

The TikTok is the cheaper of the two models, a plastic band with a snap-in frame inspired by the locking mechanisms in skiboots. The LunaTik is the important real deal, forged out of Aerospace Grade Aluminum and CNC machined into an iPod Nano-hugging work of art. The straps are made up of silicone rubber and the bezel is comprised of two separate that lock together to secure your iPod in place.

Wilson, who used to be creative director for watches at Nike, has started a Kickstarter page where people can fund the project. Currently, he’s raised $3,686 of his $15,000 target, with 29 days left within the funding cycle. A $25 pledge preorders the TikTok, a good way to retail for $35, and a $50 pledge secures you the Lunatik, in order to retail for $70, so you could save some cash by stepping into on the ground floor.
