I wish I had most of the foresight of this patent-filer from back in ’73. I ponder if she’s cursing the day her dog-shaped vacuum did not take off, now Dyson’s launched their dog-grooming vacuum tool ?
Ann Margaret Zelski filed the patent in 1973 for this dog-shaped vacuum, which was intended to be used around dogs, to suck up their hair. As you know, most furry friends are frightened of the noise of vacuums (my parents’ golden retriever hides under the bed until the cleaner is switched off and put away), but Zaleski thought a well-recognized design might make dogs more comfortable.
