Verizon’s begun a tribulation of their new Home Phone Connect service, which unifies your landline phone with their wireless network. From there, it’ll be treated like every other phone in your family’s plan-and eat an analogous minutes.
Home Phone Connect, which relays Verizon’s signal for your handset via a base station, will cost you $10 a month if you would like the landline and your other wireless devices to share a similar minutes pool, or $20 a month for unlimited domestic calling. The trial is currently confined to The Big Apple and Connecticut-no word on Verizon’s future plans for the service. [ Verizon via Engadget ]
