I admire an excellent chess board. While I’m not entirely sold on its modern art aesthetic, or its $30k ticket, I do love that the pieces start talking shit once you move them.

A3 Network says the set was hand-built by artist Barbara Kruger, who used three integrated computers and 96 microprocessor to get the Corian pieces to verbally interact with each other. Now if i’ll only custom order a suite with soundbytes from The Seventh Seal , maybe I’d at the very least start daydreaming about buying a collection. [ YouTube ]
