I like cutaway illustrations of airplanes, ships, and all types of machinery. I attempt to catch every single detail and frequently wander away within the process. That’s why I adore this photo so much: A real cutaway ship.

The photo was taken by Jana Asenbrennerova in Chittagong, Bangladesh, the second biggest ship breaking yard on the earth. There, workers disassemble ships one piece at a time, seemingly living in the giant beasts until they’re completely destroyed. [ National Geographic ]
