WikiLeaks Supporters Have Begun DDoS Attacks Against Fax Machines [Anonymous]

WikiLeaks Supporters Have Begun DDoS Attacks Against Fax Machines [Anonymous] After that specialize in the PayPal, VISA, MasterCard, and Amazon websites , the members of 4chan-affiliated group Anonymous have decided to choose a new target for an unorthodox DDoS attack : Fax machines belonging to corporations which they think are against WikiLeaks’ mission.

Basically what these folks are doing is sending a crap ton of random WikiLeaks cables, letters from Anonymous, Guy Fawkes images, and WikiLeaks logos to fax numbers belonging to Amazon, MasterCard, PayPal, VISA, Tableau Software, and so forth.

While plainly the belief is to render the companies’ fax lines useless and to get the awareness of the people running them by sending a ton of spam, it’s worth noting that the ” orders” for this operation make it a degree to tell Anonymous members to ” BE RESPECTFUL.” That’s gotta count for something, right?
