Where No Google Android Has Gone Before [Video] It’s tricky being an Android. Sure, you’re cute enough as a symbol, however it’s still the phones that get a few of the attention. Until this little guy took matters into his own hands, and into outer space.

The mascot was accompanied on his trip 100,000ft into the sky by a Nexus S , which collected various data with its GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer. Here’s how the launch went down:

Through the course of the 2.5 hour voyage, Googlers discovered that the Nexus S could function up to an altitude of about 60,000ft and temperatures as low as -50 degrees Celsius. Take heed, climbers of cold mountains!
