From Boring Laptop To Awesome Arcade Cabinet [Video]

From Boring Laptop To Awesome Arcade Cabinet [Video] Lenovo – yes, boring old Lenovo – has some of the more interesting gaming-related products on show at this week’s CES: a box that transforms a laptop personal computer into a pint-sized arcade cabinet.

All you do is pop the stick open and there’s room to slide in a laptop. Close it back up and you’ve got the arena’s cutest – albeit least practical – fighting game arcade unit.

Sadly, it’s not a precise product, just a gimmick thrown together for the show (it was built by Dean Liou from Envador.com ). What’s the deal, Lenovo? We wouldn’t call you boring old Lenovo once you sold something like this, something that will make my kitchen counter the greatest kitchen counter on the earth.

Internet fraud and theft are major problems, there appears little question about that -- in accordance with FCC chairman Julius Genachowski , some 8.4 million bank card numbers are stolen yearly. The question, then, is who ought to be addressing the problem. Genachowski this week called for "smart, practical, voluntary solutions," asking internet service providers to position more… »
