MSIs Fastest Gaming Notebook Is an Overclocking Beast [Notebooks] Intel’s next-generation core processors are just out of the oven, and you’ll already overclock the bejeezus out of ‘em. The G Series notebooks from MSI? They assist you to overclock 10-15% beyond what Sandy Bridge intended.

The 17.3-inch GT780 and 15.6-inch GT680 both pack the newest Core i7 quad core processors, at the side of MSI’s Turbo Drive Engine, an overclocking technology that juices up your system with the touch of a button. Both feature Nvidia GeForce GTX 500 Series (or 400 Series) graphics cards, along side USB 3.0 standard, dual SSD storage, and up to 16GB RAM. Vrooooom.

Surely a challenger will emerge, probably even sometime this week, that may push Sandy Bridge to even more brazen speeds. But for now, the G Series appears like a gorgeous sick ride in an incredibly fast machine.

The GT680′s coming this month for the sounds-expensive-but-maybe-not-for-what-you-get sticker price of $1500, with its big brother following sometime this spring.

The G Series – World’s Fastest Gaming Notebooks The MSI R&D team worked hand in hand with world-class gamers to develop the most recent G Series that actually exceeds gamers’ needs. The recent, powerful GT780, GT680, GE620 and GR620 notebooks will all come filled with the much anticipated second generation Intel® CoreTM i7 quad core processor, and USB 3.0 ports that enable lightening fast transfer speeds and connections with external hard drives or handheld electronics.
 GT780 and GT680: The 17.3 inch GT780 and 15.6 inch GT680 feature advanced DirectX 11-ready nVidia GeForce GTX 500 Series and 400 Series graphics cards including Dynaudio speakers, delivering both advanced graphics performance and true-to-life sound quality. MSI also incorporates its own Turbo Drive Engine (TDE) technology which instantly throttles up system speeds to deliver probably the most fastest, most powerful gaming notebooks on earth. Besides accelerated dual SSD storage, the GT680 also includes 4 SO-DIMM DDR3 memory slots to
boost system memory capacity to 16GB.

Adding to its popular line of all-in-one (AIO) PC units, MSI took the wraps off the Wind Top AE2210 and AE2410, which deliver a new level of home entertainment experience combined with unmatched convenience. The two new models feature MSI’s Super Charger Technology, which allows users to charge devices through one of its two USB 3.0 ports even while the computer is turned off.
