Don’t tell Panasonic no person really cares about 3D. The company has managed to bake the third dimension into nearly every consumer product at CES. Yay! But it surely was the flagship plasma, the VT30, that actually had us drooling.

If history is any indicator , we’ve the feeling this pretty, second gen plasma may be the 3D set to overcome this year. Panasonic plasmas had been outstanding performers, but they seem like, well, crap. Panasonic says the tab lite can help you watch TV events from alternate angles (ie sports), or take a break from the large screen and watch your program on the go (read: on the rest room). Whether this functionality will work with all TV shows or just the Viera apps isn’t clear-and we’ll must wait a long time to discover, as the tablet is Japan only until an unknown time later this year.

Plus! Chat together with your friends when you’re watching. This looks as if overkill. If I’d desire to speak about The true Housewives of Atlanta while I’m watching it, I’ll probably be on my laptop or texting. That aside, an additional screen may very well be sweet, if executed well.
