a couple of More Unconfirmed iPad 2 Details [Unconfirmed]

a couple of More Unconfirmed iPad 2 Details [Unconfirmed] We’ve heard that the iPad 2 may have dual cameras, a stronger display , and something that requires an additional opening on its cases , but now Engadget reports that ” reliable sources” have provided them with details about all those things:

The device will remain at 10-inches, though will now feature both front and rear cameras (not an immense surprise), and… an SD slot. That’s right – our sources say with near certainty that the device could have a dedicated SD slot in-built (with out traditional USB slot). Actually, see that weird notch inside the photo [above]? That’s where the SD part will probably be located. What’s finest, however, is what’s happening under the hood.

The new iPad will feature a dual GSM / CDMA chipset produced by Qualcomm, and should mark Apple’s shift far from Infineon as its chipset maker to Qualcomm for all of its mobile devices. It’s not clear if the chipset being used shall be based on the company’s EV-DO / HSPA Gobi variety, or a completely new design. Presumably, the strength of the brand new dual mode chipset is that it’ll allow both Verizon and AT&T to provide the iPad simultaneously.

Engadget also reports that their source provided them with some tidbits concerning the iPhone 5 and the subsequent generation Apple TV. Follow their link for all those details and ensure you come again here to tell us what you observed. [ Engadget ]
