Earlier today I guzzled down not one, but two of those gigantic new Starbucks Trenta cups filled with iced tea. Had I waited a chunk, i’ll’ve paid for those drinks by waving my cellphone.
Up until recently, Starbucks mobile payments -payments done using the BlackBerry or iOS Starbucks apps-could only be done in select locations. Now Starbucks is offering this particular payment option in all US company-operated stores.
Basically all you’ll do load up your Starbucks Card, download an app, and let your favorite barista scan a barcode generated by that app when buying something.
You can download the BlackBerry version of the app here and the iPhone version here . Android lovers seem like out of luck for now.
