Director/writer Michael Ashton took $300 and an obvious understanding of cinema basics and special effects and made this 12-minute short film called Lazy Teenage Superheroes . It’s quite impressive! The acting, not so much.
This isn’t to claim the movie is a flop or undeserving of our praise, because it’s! And the acting isn’t terrible, actually, because I watched your complete option to the top earlier today. There’s just this whiff of cheese about many of the performances and edits. Something to think of for the inevitable sequel, I assume.
As a demo of what possible pull off with just $300 and a little skill this can be quite a feat. I was nearly motivated to open iMovie and start something up myself before I spotted I will be able to barely write, let alone make movies.
Anyway, watch watch! [ Lazy Teenage Superheroes via Boing Boing ]
