Apple’s New Head of worldwide Security is a ” Naval Warfare Information Expert” [Apple]

With a title like ” Director of worldwide Security” and a background in Naval information warfare and network vulnerability analysis, it sort of feels like new Apple employee David Rice could be helping to guard secrets. But which may not be the case.

More than the rest, All Things D is guessing that Rice is coming to one Infinite Loop to assist shore up enterprise security on the iOS platform. Working not only for the dep. of Defense, but in addition the National Security agency, David Rice won awards and accolades for helping to create secure network infrastructures nationally and globally. Now, after time spent as an author and private consultant, working on the iOS platform would seem to make sense. [ All Things D via Information Week ]
