An art installation for Wikipedia’s 10th Anniversary party suspended 18 printers over a room. Why? The printers printed real time edits made to Wikipedia to expose the physical record that Wikipedia’s community leaves behind. That is, lots and many edits.
Each printed edit gave a quick one line description of the object and the edit being made by the contributor. It’s like knowledge falling out of thin air. I’d love to sift through that pile. [ Dean McNamee ]
