Murdoch sent this document at the side of an email to his friends inside the UK publishing industry:
Of course, Murdoch seems really adamant about his project. His letter is filled with Cupertinian hyperbole: ” this pioneering digital venture, fully championed by Steve Jobs and anything of his team at Apple, establishes a completely new category of delivery and consumption.” A complete new category. It should be really magical. This fair and balanced quote, however, makes me think The Daily is also just another glorified reader with numerous video thrown in: ” I’m convinced that what they’ve created is one of the most immersive and unique experience available – one who will resonate with our audiences everywhere and change the best way news is viewed.”
We will see about that after we get our hands over it at 12. [Thanks Joe!]
Update: Thus far, it looks pretty normal. Possible watch their live presentation here.
