Facebook Now Liable for 25% of Hooker Hookups [Sex]

There used to be a time whenever you actually had to depart your place to get a prostitute. And what an extended, seedy walk to the docks or brothel or alley behind Denny’s it was. Now? Facebook does it for you !

In keeping with Columbia University sociology professor Sudhir Venkatesh , of the 290 The Big Apple City prostitutes he tracked, a whole quarter were using Facebook to solicit clients. And that was three years ago-I even have a feeling it’s only ballooned since then (especially with the improved messaging system!). Venkatesh estimates that by now, ” Facebook could be the leading on-line recruitment space” for hookers. So yes, there is something which you can do on Facebook that’s creepier than ogling high school girls. [ Wired ]
