Motorola Xoom WiFi hitting Canada next month (update: $599, available for pre-order)

There’s still no word on a value or exact release date, but Motorola has just confirmed that the WiFi-only version of its Xoom Honeycomb tablet shall be available in Canada sometime in April — or “early April,” in line with the Financial Post. The 3G version will then follow in some unspecified time in the future “mid-year,” although details on it are unfortunately even lighter still, with out a indication of carrier support just yet. Update: As noted by Roberto V in comments, the device is now already available for pre-order at Future Shop. It runs an identical $599.99 it does within the US, and is anticipated to ship on April 8th.
