Facebook planning facial recognition for picture uploads?

It is indeed less earth-shattering than that alleged (and, it seems, false) Google app we heard a couple of few days back, but one among our loyal readers has stumbled across what seems to be an up-and-coming (and to date inactive) facial recognition feature in his Facebook privacy settings. And, you already know what? We’ve got found a similar thing! Although we’re somewhat mollified by the chance that this bad boy (when and if it becomes active) will only highlight our mug in pictures uploaded by friends, we bemoan the chance that much more of our lives will likely be spent untagging ourselves from embarrassing party snaps.

[Thanks, Philip]
