Talking is something most people take as a right, but a brand new app called MyVoice — currently available for iOS and coming soon to Android — is trying to offer the power back to those that aren’t as fortunate. Developed by a bunch of University of Toronto students after being approached by a person who had a stroke, the situation-based app allows users to “speak” pre-programmed text macros using text-to-speech. You may’t add new phrases from throughout the app just yet, though for now there’s a web based portal that still allows relatives to configure strings and get them organized into “places” for the final word user. We looked at the app and it sort of feels to work as advertised — there’s a gorgeous extensive word pack that incorporates it. Which you could score the free download on the more coverage link below, and we’ve got a video demo after the break.
